This tutorial gives an overview of the template-based reporting functionality new in PC-DMIS since version 4.0. It gives an overview of Templates in general and then shows how Report Templates, Label Templates, report objects, and rules all work together inside a Report template to produce a report in the Report window.
Templates mean that you can plug the same data into different templates thereby generating different reports from the same data, or you can standardize your reports and create a single report template, maintaining the same look and feel across all your reports even though the data comes from several different part programs.
